Who we are
Dean Plunkett, Special Advisor
Dean Plunkett is the President & CEO of Plunkett Strategies, a government affairs and lobbying firm based in Raleigh, NC. He spent a decade with the NC Beer & Wine Wholesalers Association, representing the interests of local, family-owned distributorships across the state, defending them from tax increases and regulatory burdens that would damage their businesses, and winning for them numerous legislative victories that benefitted them directly, and the industry as a whole. Plunkett's two decades of experience in campaigns, political and public policy analysis and lobbying have brought him a unique understanding of all aspects of government, as well as a statewide and national network of contacts. He has twice been recognized by his peers as one of North Carolina's top lobbyists in the NC Public Policy Institute's Annual Ranking of the Most Influential Lobbyists.
